I had the opportunity to travel this week for the first time since our web app went live (see ohare-midway.com for details). I have tested the app during the early stages of its development, and I was excited by it’s potential. However…I have a greater appreciation for it now that I’ve used it in real life as it was intended to be used.
I flew from Dallas to Chicago this morning, not early enough to be a red-eye, but after 7 hours sleep in two days, any flight I took would have been a red-eye. When I arrived at O’Hare around 8:15, I pulled out my trusty Blackberry (yes…I know I’m one of the three or four people that still use a Blackberry), signed in on the app, and summoned my car to pick me up. No phone calls, and no waiting on hold for driver or vehicle information. Quick, easy, and efficient. After 30 years of the same old routine as far as O’Hare is concerned, it was refreshing to be able to use our app as a client would. This morning, I wasn’t the COO of O’Hare-Midway Limousine Service, I was a satisfied customer.
If you haven’t had the opportunity, put this app on your phone. You’ll be glad you did. Experience OML Connect for yourself and see how easy your traveling life just became.
