3rd Annual Freedom Fest at Navy Pier

The 3rd Annual Freedom Fest is one of the finest Independence Day celebrations in the whole city.

For the price of general admission, you can get a bird’s eye view of the fireworks show from the Navy Pier rooftop, as well as a delectable BBQ dinner. You can also indulge in cocktails at a luxurious full bar.

In addition to food and drinks, you can dance the night away while a DJ spins all the biggest hits.

Highland Park 4th of July Celebration

If you have kids in tow, head to the Highland Park 4th of July Celebration!

In addition to the world-class 4th of July parade, there is a children’s bike and pet parade, carnival rides, a petting zoo and tons of amazing food from Highland Park’s best restaurants.

As the day turns into night, you can expect both a live concert and a beautiful fireworks display, courtesy of Highland Park’s great residents.

Glen Ellyn 4th of July

This massive three-day event will feature a parade, the Freedom 4 4-Mile run, a food truck picnic, the Lake Ellyn Cardboard Regatta, carnival games, prizes, live music and more!

It’s the perfect spot for the whole family, culminating in an elaborate fireworks display on the evening of the 4th.

29th Annual Oakfest

159th and Central Avenue, Oak Forest, IL

June 30th – July 4th, 2016

This free event in Oak Forest has a nearly-thirty-year history behind it. In 2016, it’s back and better than ever.

Not only is admission free, you can rest assured that each dollar you spend on food or at the carnival will go back to the community. Enjoy drink specials, complimentary drinks with the purchase of $20 in food, and a raffle to win up to $1000!

There will also be a craft beer tent, a crafter’s showcase, live entertainment, and of course, a fireworks show on the 4th.

Northwest Fourthfest

June 30 – July 4, 2016

Head to the suburbs for one of the biggest fireworks displays and largest Independence Day celebrations in the state.

Hoffman Estates will become a 4th of July paradise starting on Thursday, June 30 with wristband night at the carnival grounds. Head to the Village Green to enjoy live music, frosty beers and a covered dining area. You can also enjoy a craft fair, plenty of food vendors, and the area’s largest fireworks display!
