Regardless of where you are in your life or what business you are engaged in, we all collectively share a moment at the end of each year; that moment where we say goodbye to one year while welcoming in the next. By the way…Happy New Year!
In the limousine industry, we’re still climbing out of the wreckage of “The Great Recession”, but seeing profits finally return to comfortable levels after a half-decade of struggle. Limousine services around the world have dealt with various levels of financial pain, and many have either been swallowed by larger companies or disappeared altogether. But those remaining see the prospects of continued growth very promising.
As 2013 is relegated to our memories, we can look back at it as a good year for learning. Not only have we learned that the traveling public is demanding more from providers, but expecting to pay much less. This is where “on demand” services have made their mark in Chicago and other major cities. If you hail a car via Uber or another app on your smart phone, you will pay less for your transportation while seemingly using a reputable service for your transportation. Unfortunately, apps are not limo services, and therefore could care less about “service”. A good, safe, and reputable company will focus on service, and it’s what O’Hare-Midway does best. You get what you pay for, and what you should be paying for is safe, quality, and reliable service backed by a great company, not an app developer that takes all comers as their transportation providers.
