Spring Driving and Safety

As the late ex-Beatle George Harrison once sang; “Little darling, it’s been a long, cold, lonely winter”.
Now that Spring 2013 has officially arrived, we can look forward to warmer temperatures, longer days, and clearer roads on which to travel.
March is a month of transition. In 1926, Chicago accumulated almost two feet of snow in the month of March, while last year (2012), we saw the warmest March in history. The earliest 80 degree temperature reading in Chicago was recorded on March 3rd (in 1974). As you can see, the weather here is as unpredictable as the politics. For this reason, drivers need to remain vigilant.
Being a safe driver means more than simply adjusting to the weather. Late season snowstorms, early season thunderstorms, and icy or flooded roads will all put drivers to the test. Even overlooked factors like the angle of the sun in the sky can contribute to conditions that make driving hazardous. A professional chauffeur will adjust to seasonal changes to insure a safe and comfortable ride for his clientele.
O’Hare-Midway Limousine Service is one of the few Chicago limo companies that incorporate insurance industry programs as well as in-house custom designed driver safety products to reintroduce chauffeurs to driver / client safety on a regular basis. This gives us – what we feel to be – the most safety oriented chauffeur pool in the Chicagoland area.
Client safety is – and should always be – JOB #1 in the limousine industry. However, many small and midsized companies are caving to economic pressure and forgoing safety initiatives order to remain competitive. This could prove to be a bad swap of priorities. Unsafe chauffeurs exert far more pressure on the bottom line than safety initiatives do.
The best choice is the safe choice. By choosing O’Hare-Midway Limousine Service, you know you are getting the quality and experience that has made us an industry leader since 1956. You are also getting a company committed your safety, as well as the safety of those important to you.
Why would you look anywhere else?
