It’s springtime again, which means new fashion trends and styles are replacing last year’s looks. Chicago is an amazing city for finding the most fashion-forward pieces on the market; to help you find your perfect 2016 wardrobe, OML Worldwide has put together this 2016 guide to finding the newest looks and fashion trends in the Windy City.
Inventive stripes have always been “in,” but 2016 is the year you can really get creative with how you wear this chic, attractive pattern.
Head to the Ralph Lauren store on Michigan Avenue to peruse their 2016 collection, which includes a number of bold, striped pieces, like this vertical striped cotton jacket, which features a slightly-shrunken, fitted silhouette that works for the office, the weekend or the date night.
Head over to Water Tower Place to peruse the new Banana Republic pieces for spring, including a number of beautiful striped pieces like this mixed stripe blouse or this men’s Grant Fit supima cotton shirt featuring orange stripes.
If you’re looking for something truly luxurious, head over to the 900 North Michigan shops to the Michael Kors store, where beautiful pieces like this men’s striped sweater are available for purchase.
Similar to last year’s fashion, gingham is again trending heavily in spring collections.
For the ladies, there is ton of options for Gingham, especially at fast-fashion mainstays like Forever 21 at Water Tower Places. Consider this variety of gingham options for both men and women at the store.
Another big trend for 2016 is micropleats, which lend a subtle yet elegant spin to any article of clothing.
Yet again, Forever 21 is a great option to find fashions within this trend.
This bold design trend was ever-present on runways this year, with earth tones and denim showing up in pieces again and again.
To get in on the patterned patchwork trend this year, head to one of the four (that’s right, four) Zara locations in Chicago, which includes a spot on the Magnificent Mile.
This patchwork dress is particularly stunning.
