We are still here.

It has been a long and difficult road, but we have been able to survive the biggest challenge we have ever faced, and we have faced many over the years.  From 9/11, numerous recessions, rideshare intrusion, over regulation, floods, and blizzards; we have had to fight and scrap to maintain our place in the ground transportation arena.  Today, we find ourselves in a protracted fight for survival alongside all transportation, hospitality, and tourism industry vendors.  This is unprecedented in our history, and hopefully it will end soon.

O’Hare-Midway Limousine Service is still here for you, and we have been throughout the pandemic.  We haven’t tried gimmicky email blasts or giveaways, but instead have focused our attention on maintaining a safe environment for our loyal clients, employees, and chauffeurs that depend on us.  We have followed the changing recommendations from the CDC and the WHO, and are applying best practices as they apply to office safety and travel and transportation.

For the protection of the traveling public, we have employed the following sanitizing protocols since March of this year;

• Chauffeurs are required to report their temperature before the start of their shift
• Chauffeurs with symptoms related to COVID-19 must report them to dispatch immediately and will be removed from service until tested
• Chauffeurs are required to wear masks when in the presence of customers
• Chauffeurs must wear gloves when handling client luggage
• Chauffeurs are encouraged to practice social distancing with clients where possible
• Passenger compartment must be sanitized between clients using alcohol or other approved cleaners. All commonly touched surfaces must be addressed, including door handles and arm rests, seats, and windows
• Chauffeurs are instructed to keep windows cracked to promote airflow within the vehicle
• Hand sanitizers will be made available to clients in vehicle

As we all know, these simple procedures are helpful in reducing the spread of COVID, and we will continue to follow them until the CDC guidelines indicate that they are no longer necessary.
